When to go?

The Philippines are most popular during the dry season, between November and April. At this time the country is fully accessible, including its many beautiful islands and more remote areas. Temperatures are high during March and April, so it’s best to travel during the cooler months of December to February. The wet season falls between May and October, but the rain isn’t constant and rarely impacts on travel plans. You’ll still enjoy hot, sunny days at this time, fewer crowds and lush, green scenery. The Farm at San Benito recognizes the Green Season, around June to September, as the perfect time to cleanse and heal, which represents good value for money; you’ll miss the crowds, the weather’s still pleasant and flights will be cheaper than during the high season.

Tips to enjoy Batangas in the Philippines

Batangas is located southwestern of Luzon in the Philippines It’s easy to go there since it’s only a two- to three-hour drive from Manila; it has a great variety of natural and manmade wonders; it offers a wide array of activities; and most of all, it has numerous places that serve delicious food. Whether you’re in the mood for some relaxing beach bumming, a rigorous hiking activity, a cultural encounter, or a simple food trip, Batangas has something to satisfy your wanderlust.

There are many things to see about the historical background of the province. Drop by the towns of Taal, Mabini, Lipa City and Batangas City, to see the basilicas and Old Spanish houses. And see architecture during the Pre Spanish Times.

The Batangas Port is considered the trading point in the Calabarzon region. It has a passenger terminal to different islands in the Philippines. These makes the province a halfway point to Puerto Gallera and other key cities of the Philippines Island.

Enjoy the beaches

There are different types of beaches for different types of people. Some want to party the night away with friends and fellow tourists, while others just want to revel in silence. Some want to stay in luxurious resorts, while others prefer to camp out by the water. Either way, you’re bound to find a beach in Batangas to suit your needs.

Located in the northwestern part of Batangas, Nasugbu is one of the largest municipalities in the province and is home to exclusive subdivisions like Hamilo Coast, Punta Fuego, and Tali Beach. But a lot of areas are open to the public too, such as Fortune Island, Calayo Beach, and Pulo Island. Matabungkay and Calatagan are also popular beaches in this area.

Further south, Laiya has a long stretch of sand and a lot of resorts dotting the shoreline. It’s a popular destination because it’s well-developed and easily accessible. For those who want a quieter, more rustic beach, check out Verde Island, which is about 45 minutes away from the mainland ports.
