Mahé Seychelles

Seychelles: why not?!?

White sand, turquoise and crystalline water, palms and lush tropical vegetation: welcome to the Seychelles, without doubt, one of the most beautiful paradises on earth. We’ve talked about this beautiful archipelago but we want to return to it because we think it is a perfect destination for everyone. Who wants to spend a unique holiday here, will not be spoiled for choice; we start looking more common to all the holidays on the islands: the beaches. With over 100 beaches to discover, located not only on the three main islands, Mahé (photo on top), Praslin and La Digue, but also on smaller almost deserted islets, the pearls of the Indian Ocean are the perfect destination for a memorable and relaxing trip.

If you had never thought of visiting the Seychelles, check out the video by Paul Wex, who gave us a perfect view of that is this wonderful archipelago. Before enjoying the video, read below our selection of some of the best beaches of the Seychelles. From the wide bays and more open, the smaller coves and intimate, from the beaches where it is easier to see the reef to those where the sea is quietest, from the easiest to reach. Anyway, remember that the Seychelles are much more than just sandy beaches and sunbathing and the video exactly shows it.

Anse Source d’Argent (La Digue)

It’s one of the main attractions of the Seychelles and one of the most photographed beaches in the world, here was also filmed a famous spot of Bacardi. The reef breaks the waves before they can get to the shore and you can swim in the waters of this beach all year round. What you can do: swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, take pictures or drink a fresh juice at the Fruita Cabana Bar.

Anse Georgette (Praslin)

One of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Praslin, located in the property of a large resort. Those not staying at the hotel can reach it by boat or with the permission of the resort (just a call!). What you can do: swimming, snorkeling, a walk on the mountain behind it for wonderful pictures from the top.

Grand Anse (La Digue)

A magnificent unspoilt beach on the island of La Digue, to be admired by paying due attention. In fact, during the period in which blows to the southeast monsoon (May to October) the currents are particularly strong. With a majestic and overwhelming landscape, perfectly embodies the charm of the Seychelles. What you can do: surfing, sunbathing.

Anse Cocos (La Digue)

A lovely beach with white sand and clear water. Its smooth granite rocks form beautiful natural pools of hot water, ideal to stay to soak in an amazing deserted tropical setting. What you can do: walking, swimming, sunbathing.

Beau Vallon (Mahé)

Several kilometers of long beach in the north-west of Mahé, considered by many, both tourists and locals, the most beautiful of the Seychelles. The unique atmosphere, fine sand, many activities and a rich offer of water sports and accommodation make it a must-see into the island. What you can do: swimming, snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, sunbathing, lunch and dinner near to the sea.
