When to go:

The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of winters has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain. A vacation trip to Dubai points towards sun, sand, beach and shopping. The best time to go to the scorching hot city is during its cooler months (between November and April), when the hot suns is at rest and cool with blowing winds during the evenings and night time. Even if you visit the city during the rest of the months you will find the air-conditioned hotels, malls and other complexes well-equipped to easily keep off the heat. By and large the tourist season boosts up in between November and April when the temperatures are in between 24-35ºC keeping the evenings warm and nights chill. Months of November, December, January and February observe gentle wind where the mercury goes down almost up to 13ºC. Likewise you can take pleasure in the rain if you tend to visit the city somewhere in between December and March. The temperature tends to rise up till 30ºC by April that indicates the onset of approaching hot season-May. High summer (July and August) means  very hot and very humid weather. The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference. Still you can make your holiday remarkable where you can catch Dubai Camel Racing. It is held every Thursday and Friday somewhere in between October to April at the Nad Al Sheba racetrack while Rugby Sevens is hosted in December. The best period to shop in Dubai is around January to March where the famous Dubai Shopping Festival runs for around 4 weeks.

Twenty minutes drive from Downtown Dubai and 20 minutes from the airport, Desert Palm PER AQUUM offers its guests an opportunity to escape the metropolis without having to venture into the desert. Dubai is the city of contrasts. Old and modern. Ancient and chic. Myriad shopping malls. Traditional souks and golden treasures. Extravagant gourmet. Tantalising spices. Hidden corners of authenticity. Dhows and abras creekside. Weaving along the waterway. Heritage unveiled. Instead inside Desert Palm PER AQUUM you have in your hand 150 acres of lush surrounds. Nature in abundance. Early morning peace. Cooling breeze. Exploration on horseback. An invigorating jog. Rare glimpses of cobalt. The Blue Kingfisher in residence. Relaxing poolside, before the action on the field gets started. Ripples of tranquillity. Lush green surrounds. Adrenaline. The thrill of a chukka. Immersed in the game, from the privacy of your pavilion or the front row views of The Polo Bar. Beyond. Oases of Championship green. Desert discoveries. Bedouin lifestyles. The Ruler’s protected wetlands. Deep ocean explorations.

Explore the Estate – Palm fronds whisper overhead. Coast beneath arching branches by bicycle. Jog through trails of the 160-acre estate and glimpse the cobalt blue of a Kingfisher or jeweled turquoise of an Indian Roller. Flowers line paths of breathtaking beauty and canvasses of green extend before you. Dip into a private garden enclave or edge the polo fields and gaze onto the horizon.

Discover the Traditional Dubai – While vast swaths of the city have been demolished in the relentless drive toward the future, one neighborhood harks back to the quiet fishing village that once was. The Bastakia Quarter, which squeezes itself between the Dubai Creek and the buzzing Bur Dubai district, is a mini maze of wind-towered buildings, a clutch of which have been transformed into art galleries and cafés. Start your tour at XVA Gallery, which specializes in contemporary art from across the Gulf region.

Visit the Burj Khalifa – The tallest structure on the planet is impossible to miss from the moment you arrive in Dubai. Soaring above the city like a giant needle-shaped spacecraft, it really is a wonder of modern technology and design. The opportunity to view the city from the observation deck on the 134th floor is not to be missed, and day or night the view is truly spectacular. We think it is best described as being on the wing of an airplane.

Shopping Dubai is famous for its shopping malls but the Dubai Mall has to be seen to be believed. It is simply huge, with something for everyone inside. The shopping and eating are almost a side attraction. With a 22-screen cinema; an indoor theme park, called Sega World; a world for children, called Kidzania; a giant Aquarium with an underwater zoo; and a full-sized ice rink you, will want for little. Just be sure to be wearing comfortable shoes. The topping on this treat is the Dubai Fountain, which has shows every evening starting at 6 p.m. that easily rival anything that the Bellagio in Las Vegas has to offer.

Hang out at the Walk – The largest single-phase residential construction in the world is the Jumeirah Beach Walk, locally known as JBR. It consists of a wall of 36 towers along the beach front in the Dubai Marina. Along the front of the JBR is a lovely, wide promenade flanked on one side by shops, cafes and restaurants and on the other by a single-lane road. This is the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely meal while people- and car-watching. We can guarantee you will see things that you would not have thought possible–like a gold-plated Porsche Cayenne or a two-tone Ferrari.

Explore the Gold Souk – Dubai is known for really cheap gold but you’ll have to haggle for it. Whether or not you’re ready to buy, a stroll through the dazzling Gold Souk is a must. The stores also offer platinum, diamonds and occasionally silver, and the government keeps tight control over the quality of all the merchandise, so rest assured that your purchases will be genuine.

Discover the Bedouin Life – There are numerous tour companies who can collect you from the hotel and take you out for a tour in the desert, a camel ride and a traditional Arabic meal with a belly dancer. This can be a little formulaic but provides an accessible display of traditional Bedouin life. If you’re more adventurous, rent a 4×4 and bring a copy of the UAE Off-Road Explorer and you’ll be bathing in the natural rock pools of Hatta in under an hour or splashing around at Wadi Wurrayah, home of the UAE’s only natural waterfall. This really is a taste of the UAE that tourists rarely get to enjoy. Insider tip: It’s always best to go to such places in a convoy of at least two vehicles, and heed the advice given in the guide book: The desert can be a dangerous place for the unprepared.

Golf – It is an obsession in Dubai. If you want to rub elbows with celebrities on the green, try the courses designed by Colin Montgomerie and Ernie Els. Better yet, head to the city’s most famous course, the Emirates Golf Club, which hosts the annual Dubai Desert Classic. It’s a stunning course, whose 18th hole has one of the finest approaches in the world. Almost as impressive is the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, which boasts a challenging par-72 course along with a fun “pitch ‘n’ putt” course, plus an impressive clubhouse whose architecture echoes that of the Sydney Opera House.

Dubai: why not?!?

“Dubai may be home to the world’s most outrageous skyline but Dubai’s desert dunes and historical creek are where you’ll find its soul,” writes filmmaker Rob Whitworth when discussing his three-month exploration in the UAE city. With help from Dubai film, Whitworth created a three-minute video entitled Dubai Flow Motion (you can find here), which captures the sights and sounds of the destination through hyperlapse and infinite-zoom techniques.

Dubai is intriguing; it’s a place where its magnificent buildings are just as flashy as its fashionista locals, and is a region where deeply spiritual people still practice ancient traditions. With amazing infrastructure, building that enthrall and tourism that is worth exploring, Dubai becomes first place of holiday destination for many individuals. Every year more than 9 million tourists are attracted to Dubai’s skyline. These tourists come to not only explore tourism, but also identify the business opportunities and career options in Dubai.

If you are planning Dubai holidays, here are some of the best places to be in Dubai while you are off on a holiday and where to stay.

Dubai’s skyline is one of the most fascinating in the world. If you are in Dubai then exploring the skyline is worth! The skyline is wide spread and you can almost explore tall building and palm by sailing through the skyline. There are lots of tourist companies offering adventure cruise alongside the skyline. With Desert safari, you can either explore the sands in morning hours or late evening or have an overnight stay around the desert. Alongside desert safari you can also explore the belly dance and enjoy the Arabic cuisines.

Both these attractions are worth seen in Dubai.

Nearby attractions

While you are on the Dubai holidays, you could not miss the nearest attractions like Sharjah, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. These three nearby locations have a lot of things to be explored. With these nearby locations you will get immense understanding of the Arabic culture, cuisines and culture.
